We are a small church with a big heart.

About

Susan Vasone, one of our Pastoral Care Leaders said, “Christ Church is a little Church with a big heart.” Some have said that when they come to Christ Church for the first time, they feel as though they have been a part of the community for a long time. A newcomer recently said, “At coffee hour people were talking with me and introducing me to other people. It was amazing.”

  • Built with love

One thing you should know about Christ Church is that it was built with love and purpose, and it was built to last.
Christ Church began in Stratford, CT, as an offshoot of the Church of England in 1760 (a Bible and Prayer Book from that date is still on display in the rear of the church).

  • Built to last

Today the church building still looks much as it did when it was erected in 1846. We are proud to have been named to the National Register of Historical Places in 2001, a rare distinction for a church but then, ours is a very special place.

  • A very special place

Today, the faithful congregation cherishes its nearly 260 years of service and continues its commitment to be a vital church in Trumbull, as we minister in Christ’s name in the community and beyond, and welcome all to God’s table. We are here for God’s people.
