Let’s Get Moving Together!

At Christ Church Tashua, we love to participate in activities that are beneficial to the community, are healthy, and get us moving! Two of our favorites are the Greater Bridgeport Hunger CROP Walk, which benefits the larger community, and the Lenten Step Challenge, which is a fun activity for all our participants! Greater Bridgeport CROP Hunger Walk: Walk. Give. Change the World.
Their Mission: In the face of the continuing needs of hungry people around the world, in our nation, and here in the Bridgeport Area, we remain steadfast in our commitment to raising money in the fight against hunger through our annual hunger walks. For over 50 years, the Greater Bridgeport CROP Hunger Walks have raised more than $2 million to benefit our most vulnerable neighbors both around the globe and right here in the Bridgeport area.  Locally, our CROP Hunger Walk supports eleven local food pantry programs, including:
· Bridgeport Rescue Mission
· Daughters of Charity Rescue Mission
· King’s Pantry
· nOURish Bridgeport
· Monroe Food Pantry
· Operation Hope
· Spooner House
· Stratford Baptist Church
· Thomas Merton Center
· Trumbull Social Services
· Beth-El Center

Christ Church Tashua’s participation in and support of the CROP Walk continues. Headed by our enthusiastic leader, Ginnie Glassman, we once again raised money for this very important and meaningful outreach and had a lot of fun in the process! Thank you to all of our parishioners and friends who joined us this year at the walk and also to those who gave so generously to our team. We are deeply grateful for you all!

Lenten Step Challenge
Each year at the beginning of the Lenten season, we have a step challenge – open to parishioners and the community, too! Participants keep track of their steps during this time, and then on Easter, we announce the winner!

This year, our winner was Susan Walker! Congratulations to Susan and to all of our Step Challenge participants! We were so happy to have done this with you!
